56 NCHC Student-Athletes Earn 2024-25 AHCA Krampade All-American Scholar Honors

All 9 NCHC schools represented, led by 13 from Colorado College; honorees earned 3.75 GPA or better each semester

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Recognized for exceptional achievement in the classroom and being a consistent contributor on the ice, 56 National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) student-athletes have earned AHCA Krampade All-American Scholars accolades for the 2024-25 season, as the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced the 360 men’s college hockey players honored on Wednesday.

A total of 709 Division I hockey players garnered Krampade All-American Scholars in 2024-25, including 360 men and 349 women. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained at least a 3.75 grade-point average for each semester/trimester during the academic year and had to appear in 40 percent of their team’s games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools are also required to be good-standing members of the AHCA.

For the third straight year, Colorado College leads all NCHC teams with 13 All-American Scholars. Only American International (AIC) and Brown had more honorees than the Tigers among men’s programs in 2024-25. Denver was next among NCHC schools with nine honorees, followed by Western Michigan’s seven. Arizona State, North Dakota and Omaha each had six All-American Scholars apiece, while no NCHC school had fewer than two student-athletes recognized.

All NCHC honorees are listed below, while the complete list of AHCA All-American Scholars can be found here.

Four NCHC student-athletes became four-time All-American Scholars this year in Colorado College forward Tyler Coffey, Denver goaltender Matt Davis, DU forward Carter King and North Dakota forward Louis Jamernik V. Eight other NCHC student-athletes, denoted below, became three-time All-American Scholars in 2024-25.

Denver senior forward Jack Devine was one of only four men’s players nationally to earn both AHCA All-American Scholar honors and be named a CCM/AHCA All-American for the 2024-25 season, which were announced in April. DU’s Davis was also named the NCHC’s Senior Scholar-Athlete Award winner this past year. Along with their All-American Scholar honors, Davis, Devine and Western Michigan forward Tim Washe were also tabbed finalists for Academic All-America honors by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Earning All-American Scholars and All-NCHC honors on the ice in 2024-25 are Devine, Omaha forward Sam Stange, Western Michigan goaltender Hampton Slukynsky, King and Denver forward Sam Harris. Washe was named the NCHC Defensive Forward of the Year, as well.

The NCHC announced its initial 2024-25 Academic All-Conference Team and Distinguished Scholar-Athletes in February, while eligible freshmen and first-year transfers will be added to those lists later in July. A total of 131 NCHC student-athletes were honored initially in February for having at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, while 91 were also recognized as NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athletes with a 3.5 GPA or better.
