2024 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament: Quarterfinals - Day 6

Match-ups for April 9 feature UND's Cameron Berg/Jackson Blake vs. teammate Ludvig Persson and UMD's Ben Steeves vs. UND's Riese Gaber

On Day 6 of the 2024 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, our final two quarterfinal match-ups are available for fan voting. The first match-up pits North Dakota teammates against each other with a goal and a save, while the other match-up has a shootout goal going up against an even strength goal.

The first quarterfinal on Tuesday is an all-North Dakota match-up as Jackson Blake steals the puck out of midair and dishes to Cameron Berg for a pretty goal against Minnesota Duluth in Week 19, while netminder Ludvig Persson makes a sprawling glove save on an odd-man rush against St. Cloud State in Week 14.

In the last quarterfinal match-up, Minnesota Duluth's Ben Steeves scores a one-handed shootout goal at Miami in Week 10, while UND senior Riese Gaber dekes an Alaska Nanooks defenseman and the goaltender for a goal in Week 12.

Winning our first two quarterfinal match-ups on Monday were Western Michigan goalie Cameron Rowe and Colorado College's Stanley Cooley/Tommy Middleton. Rowe received 60 percent of the 623 votes to top CC's Noah Laba, while Cooley/Middleton advanced with 55 percent of the vote over Omaha's Ty Mueller. Rowe and Cooley/Middleton will meet in the first semifinal tomorrow, April 10.

Videos for both of today's last two quarterfinal match-ups are below with the poll to vote below each video. Voting will remain open until Wednesday at noon ET, when the two semifinals match-ups are posted and today's winners are announced. Today's winners move on to meet in the second semifinal on April 10. The entire bracket (with schedule) can be seen at the bottom of the page.
