2021 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament: Quarterfinals - Day 3

Match-up for March 25 features Omaha's Saville vs. WMU's Frank

We enter the quarterfinals on day three of the 2021 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, presented by Krampade, with the first quarterfinal match-up available for fan voting.

In today's match-up, Omaha goaltender Isaiah Saville reaches all the way back and swipes a puck off the goal line just before it crosses to save a goal in week 11, while while Western Michigan senior forward Ethen Frank goes coast-to-coast weaving through Miami's defense for a goal in week 12. 

Winning our final first-round match-ups from Wednesday were St. Cloud State's Jared Cockrell and North Dakota's Shane Pinto. Cockrell snuck by Miami netminder Ludvig Persson with 55 percent of the vote while Pinto defeated Miami's Matt Barry with 67 percent of the vote. Cockrell and Pinto advance to the quarterfinals on March 29-30.

Voting will remain open until Friday at 2 p.m. ET, when tomorrow's quarterfinal match-up is posted and today's winner is announced.
