2018 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament: Semifinals - Day 7

Semifinal for March 14 features SCSU's Ryan Poehling vs. UND's Cole Smith

We're down to the final four as we feature our first semifinal match-up in the 2018 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, presented by TRIA Orthopaedic Center, on Wednesday with a battle between goals from SCSU and UND.

In the first semifinal, St. Cloud State's Ryan Poehling puts his stick between his legs and shoots top shelf against UND in the final weekend of the regular season (week 20), while North Dakota's Cole Smith finishes some nifty passing between the legs in week 2.

Winning our last two quarterfinal match-ups were Denver's Henrik Borgström and SCSU's Mikey Eyssimont. Borgström  beat SCSU's Easton Brodzinski with 68 percent of the vote, while Eyssimont topped Denver's Tanner Jaillet with 61 percent of the vote. Borgström and Eyssimont meet in the second semifinal on March 15.

Video of today's match-up is below with the poll to vote below the video. Voting will remain open until Thursday morning, when the second semifinal is posted and today's winner is announced. The winner of today's match-up will advance to the Play of the Year final set for Friday. The entire bracket can be seen at the bottom of the page.
