2018 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament: First Round - Day 4

Match-ups for March 10 feature DU's Jaillet vs. CC's Gooch and UMD's Shepard vs. SCSU's Eyssimont

On day four of our 2018 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, presented by TRIA Orthopaedic Center, the final two first-round match-ups take place with each pitting a save and a goal against each other.

In the first match-up, Denver's Tanner Jaillet stretches for a ridiculous stick-save in week 19, while Colorado College's Trevor Gooch tips the puck to himself twice through Miami defensemen before going back-hand for a goal from week 15.

In the final first-round match-up, UMD's Hunter Shepard makes his second appearance in the tournament with a pair of saves from week 5, while SCSU's Mikey Eyssimont uses nifty moves to skate around Minnesota for a goal in week 12.

Winning our first-round match-ups from Friday were Denver's Henrik Borgström and SCSU's Easton Brodzinski. Borgström beat CC goalie Alex Leclerc with 62 percent of the vote, while Brodzinski topped Shepard's first entry also with 62 percent of the vote. Borgström and Brodzinski meet in a quarterfinal on March 13.

Videos of both of today's match-ups are below with the poll to vote below each video. Voting will remain open until Monday morning, when the first two quarterfinals are posted and today's winners are announced. The winners of today's match-ups will meet in the final quarterfinal on March 13. The entire bracket can be seen at the bottom of the page.
