We've reached the semifinals in the 2017 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, presented by TRIA Orthopaedic Center, and both match-ups are now open for voting.
In the first semifinal, it's an all-North Dakota match-up as freshman Tyson Jost dangles around Omaha's defense for a goal from week 19, while sophomore forward Shane Gerisch goes spin-o-rama for a 3-on-3 overtime goal in week 6. In the other semifinal, Miami freshman Carson Meyer skates through the North Dakota defense for a nifty goal in week 13, while Western Michigan freshman goalie Ben Blacker makes a great glove save in week 18.
Winning Wednesday's last two quarterfinals were Blacker with 82 percent of the vote over Miami's Ryan Larkin, and Meyer, who earned 67 percent of the vote to move past CC goalie Alex Leclerc.
Videos of both match-ups Thursday are below with the poll to vote below each video. Voting will remain open until Friday early afternoon, when today's semifinal winners are revealed and the final match-up is posted.
