On the ninth and final day of the 2026 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, the overall championship match-up is up for voting to decide the Play of the Year in the National in 2025-26.
In the championship match-up, St. Cloud State junior Barrett Hall weaves through the North Dakota defense for a stellar short-handed goal in Week 10, which is the Goal of the Year in the NCHC, while the Save of the Year is the other finalist, which comes from Western Michigan sophomore goalie Hampton Slukynsky, who makes a sprawling toe save on a rebound against Minnesota State in the NCAA Regional Semifinals.
The Save of the Year final from Thursday was won by Slukynsky's save in the regional semifinals, earning it the title of Save of the Year in the NCHC. Slukynsky's toe save vs. Minnesota State clipped his triple save in Week 5 against SCSU with 72 percent of the vote to advance.
