2025 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament: Semifinals - Day 8

Match-up for April 25 features ASU's Artem Shlaine vs. WMU's Alex Bump

On day eight of the NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, the second and final semifinal match-up is available for fan voting, pitting a pair of First-Team All-NCHC selections against each other with goals scored versus Denver.

Today's semifinal match-up features Arizona State's Artem Shlaine, who uses a nifty move and some speed to score at DU in Week 8, going against Western Michigan forward Alex Bump, who makes a strong defensive play and scores in double overtime to win the Frozen Faceoff for the Broncos over the Pioneers.

Winning our first semifinal on Thursday was Omaha forward Cameron Mitchell. Mitchell edged out North Dakota goalie T.J. Semptimphelter with 52 percent of the more than 2,300 votes cast. Mitchell will meet the winner of today's semifinal in our Play of the Year championship match-up on Monday, April 28.

Video of today's semifinal match-up is below with the poll to vote below the video. Voting will remain open until Monday at noon ET, when the final match-up is posted and today's winner is announced. The entire bracket (with schedule) can be seen at the bottom of the page.
