NCHC, Great Clips Team Up for 2025-26 Season

NCHC Goals of the Week to be ‘cut’ by Great Clips, which also receives branding around Frozen Faceoff

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Expanding a relationship from past Frozen Faceoffs, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) and Great Clips have cut an agreement to partner for the 2025-26 college hockey season, it was announced on Friday.

Great Clips, the world’s largest hair salon brand, will serve as the presenting sponsor of the NCHC’s Top Goals of the Week video series. NCHC Goals of the Week will now be ‘cut by Great Clips.’ In addition, Great Clips receives advertising and branding on NCHC websites and surrounding the 2026 NCHC Frozen Faceoff, which will be held entirely on campus sites for the first time.

The Conference and Great Clips previously partnered at the NCHC Frozen Faceoff when it was held at then-Xcel Energy Center (now Grand Casino Arena) in Saint Paul, Minn.

“The NCHC is honored to partner with Great Clips in expanding their presence across our regular season and tournament platforms, including the Goals of the Week,” said NCHC Commissioner Heather Weems. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to elevating the student-athlete experience and growing exposure with a national brand known for its support of ice hockey at all levels of play. We look forward to celebrating the energy and creativity that highlights the best of college hockey.”

Great Clips, which has more than 4,400 hair salons across the United States and Canada, including all nine cities home to an NCHC member school, also has a partnership with the NHL. Great Clips is 100 percent franchised, and salons are owned locally by more than 600 franchisees across the U.S. and Canada.

The NCHC and Great Clips partnership runs through June of 2026.
