2024 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament: First Round - Day 1

Match-ups for April 3 feature CC's Noah Laba vs. SCSU's Adam Ingram and UND's Jackson Blake vs. WMU's Cameron Rowe

After unveiling the full bracket and all 16 entrants in the 2023-24 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament on Tuesday, the first two match-ups in the 2024 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament are open for fan voting. One first-round match-up pits a pair of goals against each other, while the other has a save up against a goal.

In the first match-up Wednesday, Colorado College's Noah Laba, the NCHC Defensive Forward of the Year, steals the puck from Denver and scores short-handed in Week 21, while St. Cloud State's Adam Ingram blocks a pass and goes the other way for a breakaway goal against St. Thomas in Week 1.

In the second first-round match-up Wednesday, North Dakota's Jackson Blake, the NCHC Player of the Year, speeds through the zone and past WMU's defense for a nifty goal in Week 20, while Western Michigan goaltender Cameron Rowe makes a sprawling stop against Omaha in Week 17.

Videos for both of today's match-ups are below with the poll to vote below each video. Voting will remain open until Thursday at noon ET, when the next two first-round match-ups are posted and today's winners are announced. Today's winners move on to meet in the quarterfinals on April 8. The entire bracket (with schedule) can be seen at the bottom of the page.
