We've reached the semifinals in the 2023 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, with both match-ups available for fan voting starting today (Wednesday). All four remaining plays are goals, including a penalty shot goal.
The first semifinal is an all-Hunter McKown battle, as the Colorado College forward steals the puck from Omaha and goes between his legs for a goal in Week 11, while in his other play he scores with an unreal move on a penalty shot against Denver in Week 16.
In the other semifinal match-up, North Dakota's Jake Schmaltz passes between his legs to Ethan Frisch for a power play goal in the Frozen Faceoff semifinals, while Miami's Max Dukovac uses some nifty stickwork for a back-hand, top-shelf tally at UMass Lowell in Week 2.
Winning our final two quarterfinal match-ups from Tuesday were UND's Schmaltz and Frisch and Miami's Dukovac. Schmaltz and Frisch edged Omaha goalie Jake Kucharski with 53 percent of the vote, while Dukovac topped CC's Noah Serdachny with 60 percent of the vote.
Videos for both semifinals are below with the poll to vote below each video. Voting will remain open until Thursday at 2 p.m. ET, when the semifinal winners are announced and the championship match-up is posted. The entire bracket (with schedule) can be seen at the bottom of the page.
