After unveiling the full bracket and all 16 entrants in the 2022-23 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament on Tuesday, the first two match-ups in the 2023 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament are open for fan voting. One first-round match-up pits a pair of goals against each other, while the other has a save up against a goal.
In the first match-up Wednesday, Colorado College's Hunter McKown steals the puck from Omaha and goes between his legs for a goal in Week 11, while Omaha's Tyler Weiss and Cameron Berg team up for a spinning assist and spinning finish vs. Western Michigan in Week 10.
In the second first-round match-up Wednesday, North Dakota freshman Jackson Blake dekes a Quinnipiac defender and dives for a goal in Week 3, while Denver goalie Magnus Chrona makes a sprawling stop against Alaska from point-blank range in Week 13.

Voting will remain open until Thursday at noon ET, when the next two first-round match-ups are posted and today's winners are announced. Today's winners move on to meet in the quarterfinals on April 3. The entire bracket (with schedule) can be seen at the bottom of the page.
