2021 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament: Quarterfinals - Day 5

Match-up for March 29 features WMU's Attard vs. SCSU's Cockrell

Welcome to day five of the 2021 NCHC Play of the Year Tournament, presented by Krampade, with the third quarterfinal match-up available for fan voting.

In today's match-up, Western Michigan captain Paul Washe spins away from a SCSU defensemen, centers a pass to sophomore blueliner Ronnie Attard who catches it and puts it into the Husky net in week 6, while St. Cloud State forward Jared Cockrell sneaks one into the Omaha net all while falling to the ground in the first week of the NCHC Pod.

Winning Friday's second quarterfinal match-up was North Dakota netminder Adam Scheel defeating SCSU's Nick Perbix with 78 percent of the vote. Scheel advances to the next round on March 31 where he will take on Omaha goaltender Isaiah Saville in an all-goalie semifinal match-up.

Video of Monday's match-up is below with the poll to vote below the video. Voting will remain open until tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET, when Tuesday's quarterfinal match-up is posted and today's winner is announced. The winner of today's match-up will advance to the semifinals on April 1. The entire bracket (with schedule) can be seen at the bottom of the page.
