Over the last two weeks the fans have voted, bracket-style, to choose the 2016-17 NCHC Play of the Year and the fans have spoken, deciding that North Dakota freshman forward Tyson Jost's goal from week 19 is the NCHC Play of the Year. He won the NCHC's annual Play of the Year Tournament, presented by TRIA Orthopaedic Center, edging out an unreal save by Western Michigan freshman goaltender Ben Blacker with 65 percent of the over 25,000 votes. The winning play was revealed last Saturday night during the NCHC Frozen Faceoff championship game at Target Center.
Jost's goal came on Friday, Feb. 24 at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, where he dangled around Omaha's defense for an incredible goal. The goal can be seen below.
